Easy peasy projects

I'm home recovering from a minor surgery. I finished some fingerless mitts that I had started earlier with leftover sock yarn. The pattern is a freebie from Alexandra Lockhart. I also made another felted diddy bag using a colorful Zitron Loft yarn in blues and purples. I've started another tank top, more on that coming soon.

My first wearable!

I crocheted this shell using this free pattern from Lion Brand. The yarn is a lovely Cascade Pima Tencel that was on sale at Webs. It is super soft and pretty nice to work with. It held up quite well the numerous times that I had to rip out a row. If I make this again, I will add a few rows to make it a wee bit longer. My next attempt at a wearable will be something with sleeves. Right now though, I have to finish a pair of socks that I promised my daughter.

New Socks are finished

Two balls of Paton's Kroy Socks in Kool Stripes were just enough for these short cuffed socks. They were fun to make with all the variety of stitches (sc, sl, dc, hdc, fpdc).

Happy New Socks!

After a brief respite for the holidays, I am at it again. These socks will be for daughter Anne. They are the Confetti pattern from the book Crocheted Socks. They have a rolled cuff composed of back loop single crochet alternating with slip stitches. Weird. The rest of the cuff is half double crochet. The heel is front post double crochet alternating with sc. Finally, the foot is rows of sc and rowsl of sc alternating with dc. I'm sure getting to practice a lot of the basic stitches!
