Best knit increases

I absolutely love these types of lifted increases. They make a super nice, neat increase with no holes.

New Baby Stuff

The Cheetos blanket is done. It is lovely, if I do say so myself. I am now working on knitting preemie baby hats for a hospital in Jackson, thanks to the inspiration of a member of our Friday knitting group.

Cheesy blanket

I need to replenish my stock of ready-to-gift baby items. I chose this easy baby blanket pattern to knit. The yarn is another one I got on sale at Webs - Bollicine Revolution. It is a super bulky yarn, mostly wool with a little nylon. The color I chose is a bright yellow. When I started knitting a swatch, I suddenly had a craving for Cheetos. I realized that is what the yarn looks like, baked Cheetos.

Finished the Mitered Scarf

This is why I love crochet - instant gratification. I finished this scarf in just a couple of days; it was so easy. I rarely use the yarn recommended by the pattern designer, usually because it is too expensive. I got lucky this time, the recommended yarn was on sale at Webs. I was able to make the scarf for about $20. Score!
